Privacy policy
Short version: we collect as little as we can get away with, we don't accept anyone under 13, and you can delete everything from your settings at any time.
Playing a party room needs no account
If you join a room with a code, we store a nickname you choose, an emoji you pick, and the state of that game — the links you paste and the votes you cast. No email, no phone number, no account, and no identifier that follows you between sessions or rooms. All of it is deleted 24 hours after the room goes quiet.
Accounts are 13 and over
Creating an account asks for your date of birth. If you're under 13 we don't create the account and we don't keep the date. For everyone else we store only the birth year and the moment the check passed — never the full date of birth. Global rounds and any feature that records video are for signed-in accounts only, so we never handle a child's personal information or need a parent's consent.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
How long we keep things, and why
Party rooms, players, clips and votes
24 hours after the room's last activity
The game is over; nothing here is needed afterwards, and it's the only data we hold about people without accounts.
Account profile (display name, emoji, birth year, timezone)
Until you delete your account
Needed to sign you in, show you to your friends, check you're old enough, and time notifications.
Email address (held by our login provider)
Until you delete your account
Needed to sign in and send password or magic-link emails. We never sell it.
Group and global entries and votes
Until you delete your account
They're the game: your entries, your votes, your group's history.
Points history
Until you delete your account
So streaks and leaderboards can be recalculated and audited.
Notification devices
Until you turn notifications off, or delete your account
Only stored after you explicitly opt in, and removed the moment you opt out.
Reports you file
Until you delete your account
Needed to review and act on reported clips.
Notifications and advertising
Notifications are off unless you switch them on, there are only two kinds, and the toggle lives in settings. We do not show behavioural or targeted advertising to anyone under 18; if advertising ever appears, under-18s see contextual ads only — ads chosen by what's on the page, not by anything about the person.
Data we may license
Any dataset we prepare for licensing contains counts only — how many entries and votes a kind of prompt or video source attracted. It includes only account holders aged 18 and over, never anonymous party play, never rows about an individual person, and never recorded video. Small groupings are suppressed so nobody can be picked out.
Deleting everything
Settings has a "Delete my account and data" button. It removes your profile, entries, votes, points history, reports, group memberships and notification devices, and then your login. It's immediate and it can't be undone.
